Richardson signs with Winnipeg

Former Mount Olive catcher Dustin Richardson has signed with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the Northern League.
The Northern League is an eight-team independent minor league.
Richardson batted .282 last year in time split between Chillicothe of the Frontier League and Aiken of the South Coast League. It was his first year as a pro out of Mount Olive College, where he hit .359 in four years with the Trojans, including .410 as a senior.
