K-Tribe wins series

Kinston erupted for five first-inning runs and held on for a 5-3 victory over Salem at historic Grainger Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Johnny Drennen, Todd Martin, Niuman Romero and Alex Castillo combined for four hits and five RBI during the K-Tribe's early start.
Josh Tomlin earned the win in relief of starter Hector Rondon, while Luis Perdomo logged his second save of the season.
The K-Tribe (5-11 overall) won the series 2-1.
