Spring fishing seminar in Greenville

If you would like a few pointers to make your fishing more fun and productive, spring fishing seminars are available.

The closest seminar for Wayne County residents is April 29 at the Walter L. Stasavich Nature Center in Greenville.

North Carolina Sportsman Magazine is the main sponsor.

The seminars will vary from fresh water fishing, (shad and stripers in Roanoke Rapids) to salt-water fishing, (in-shore and king mackerel in Fayetteville, Greensboro and Greenville, with a little of both (stripers and saltwater inshore) in Salisbury. Seminars will consist of two sessions, with a break between for questions, food and socializing.

The seminars are the last three Tuesdays evenings in April and the first two Tuesday evenings in May. This timing is to allow aspiring anglers time to practice what they learn during the late spring, summer and fall fishing across the Tar Heel state. Each seminar will begin at 6:30 and wrap up at approximately 9:00.

There is an advance registration fee of $20, which increases to $25 the day of the seminars and at the door. The fee includes the seminar, a bag of samples, door prizes, refreshments and a three-month subscription to North Carolina Sportsman Magazine.
