Council has two strong runs in meet

CHAPEL HILL -- Goldsboro senior Anthony Council posted a pair of top-five finishes during the Classes 1-A/2-A/3-A N.C. High School Athletic Association men's indoor track championships.
Council emerged the runner-up in the 300-meter dash with a time of 36.7 seconds and took fifth overall in the 55-meter dash (6.62). Teammate Enrique Moses finished 15th in the 300. Each sprinter participated on the Cougars' 1,600-meter relay.
Charles B. Aycock's Cameron George placed 15th in the pole vault.
Princeton outdoor track standout Jania Bogle captured fourth in the 55-meter dash (7.25 seconds).
The day-long meet was contested at the Eddie Smith Field House on the University of North Carolina campus.
