Dual-team playoffs start tonight

The Charles B. Aycock, Eastern Wayne and Rosewood wrestling squads begin their respective quests for N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team championships today.
At Pikeville, three-time defending Class 3-A Eastern Carolina champion C.B. Aycock (21-5 overall) plays host to a four-team sectional. The Golden Falcons oppose Eastern Alamance at 6 p.m. The winner gets either Havelock or West Brunswick, a wild-card entrant, in the second round.
At New Hope, ECC runner-up EasternWayne (13-10) opposes Jacksonville in a four-team sectional. The winner tangles with either Currituck County or Coastal runner-up South Central in the second round.
At Hampstead, Carolina/Albemarle 1-A champion Rosewood (21-10) faces Coastal Plains champion Topsail. The survivor faces either Heide Trask or Holly Ridge Dixon.
