Wayne Christian won its third consecutive game with a 66-57 victory over visiting Johnston Christian on Thursday.
Eric Williams turned in a 21 points, 15 rebound, five steal and three assist performance for the Eagles. Matt Davis added 18 points and three rebounds, Shea Glaesman had 14 points, seven rebounds and three rebounds and Adam Brannan contributed nine points, six assists and five rebounds.
Wayne Christian (7-8, 3-5) visits league opponent Northwood Temple on Feb. 1.
Junior varsity
* Wayne Christian girls 48, Johnston Christian 30 -- Charity Wright had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds and Wayne Christian downed Johnston Christian. Carly Hightower and Devan Isenhower both added nine points and Kayla Kennedy contributed eight. The Eagles host Spirit of Life on Monday.
Middle schools
* Johnston Christian boys 29, Wayne Christian 27 -- Chase Darden paced the Eagles with 10 points, Josiah Davis contributed six points and 17 rebounds and Chandler Harrell added five points. Wayne Christian (12-2, 4-1) hosts Parrot Arrendell today.
* Greenwood boys 46, Norwayne 20 -- Brandon McCarter recored a triple-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks for Greenwood. Tykwan Days finished with nine points and eight assists and Shaq Wright added 11 points and seven steals. Greenwood (9-1) visits Mount Olive on Thursday.
