Wayne Christian girls slip past Wayne Country Day

Behind a game-high 17 points from Brittany Sullivan, Wayne Christian slipped past Wayne Country Day 48-44 on Tuesday night.
The Eagles overcame a 9-6 deficit to begin the second quarter, and outscored the Chargers 42-35 the rest of the way.
Jennifer Price added nine points for Wayne Christian and Logan Dawson finished with seven.
Bridgette Briggs led the Chargers with 16 points and Brooke Norris chipped in 11.
Wayne Country Day hosts Terra Ceia on Monday, and Wayne Christian hosts Faith Christian of Rocky Mount on Tuesday.
