Greene Central doubles up Tarboro

SNOW HILL -- Quarterback William Brown accounted for three touchdowns as the Rams overcame a 14-7 halftime deficit to defeat Tarboro 28-14 on Monday night in an Eastern Plains 2-A Conference encounter.
Brown had two touchdown tosses and ran for another as he accounted for 160 yards through the air and another 110 on the ground.
Tarboro led following the first quarter 7-0 before Brown connected with Curtis Braswell for a 51-yard touchdown. Abel Real's kick ensuing kick was good to tie the game.
With the score 14-7 Tarboro in the third quarter the Rams would score 21 unanswered points.
Brown hit Danny Moye from 45 yards out to tie the game at 14-14.
The defense then got into the scoring act as T.J. McPhail recovered a Vikings' fumble and rumbled 70 yards for a touchdown.
Brown then capped the evening for the Rams as he snuck in from a yard out to make it 28-14 Greene Central.
Defensively, Aaron Harper led the Rams with 12 tackles while Moye added 11 including four for loss.
Greene Central improves to 6-3 overall, 2-1 in the EPC. The Rams will next travel to Farmville Central on Friday night.
