PRINCETON -- Kevin Foy and Kwame Corprew rushed for two touchdowns apiece, and Princeton emerged victorious 35-0 over Mattamuskeet on Friday evening.
The Bulldawgs (1-5 overall) snapped an 11-game losing streak and dealt the Lakers their fifth loss in seven outings this season.
"We played pretty good," said PHS head coach Russell Williamson.
Foy, who rushed for a season-high 164 yards, collected first-quarter touchdowns on runs of 10 and 62 yards. Corprew, who contributed 60 yards rushing on 10 totes, added second-quarter touchdown runs of 5 and 10 yards.
Quarterback Dylan Myers contributed a 6-yard touchdown run. Chris Hinton concluded the scoring with a 29-yard, fourth-quarter field goal.
Princeton finished with 229 yards rushing and 249 yards of total offense.
"We blocked pretty well and took what they gave us," said Williamson. "We probably didn't run five different plays all night. We just went with it and finally got going a little bit.
"We still want to fumble the ball too much, so we really have to work on that."
The Bulldawgs limited the Lakers, of the Class 1-A Tideland Atlantic Conference, to just 25 yards of total offense and five first downs.
"The defense has played fairly well all year," said Williamson.
Princeton opens its Carolina 1-A Conference schedule at home Friday against Spring Creek. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Fred Bartholomew Athletic Complex.
The Gator lead the all-time series 6-0.
