Rebels improve to 4-0

HOLLY RIDGE -- Quarterbacks Doug Lloyd and Alan Schilling combined for five touchdowns as North Duplin hammered Dixon 49-0 on Friday evening.
Lloyd scored touchdowns on runs of 6, 5 and 5 yards. Schilling completed an 11-yard, fourth-quarter scoring strike to Chase Deaver and added a 39-yard touchdown run.
A senior, Lloyd accounted for 118 yards of total offense, while Schilling compiled 75.
Akeem Cox, the area's top rusher, and Billy Mello posted touchdown runs for the Rebels. Cox picked up 111 yards on 15 carries, while Mello toted the pigskin eight times for 71 yards.
Overall, the North Duplin offense amassed 447 yards against the Bulldogs.
The Rebels (4-0 overall) limited Dixon to 119 yards of total offense.
North Duplin visits unbeaten Hobbton next Friday.
