SNOW HILL -- Snow Hill Post 94 overcame a 3-0 fifth-inning deficit to defeat Beaufort County 7-3 on Tuesday night.
Hunter Chase had three hits including a triple at the plate to lead Snow Hill. Other leading hitters for Post 94 were Taylor Sutton who finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI while Jordan Carr also had two hits.
On the mound, Drew Sowers picked up the win to improve to a perfect 2-0 on the young season while Robert Tyndall recorded the save.
Snow Hill improves to 3-0 and next travels to Edenton on Thursday night.
Dixie Youth 13
Mar Mac 10, Wayne County Boys Club 1 -- Marmac used a hitting barage led by Joey Lancaster to beat the Wayne Country Boys Club. Lancaster finished with three hits including a home run in the win. Carl Johnson, Kevin Lipscomb and Ivey Strickland all had two hits apiece while Sean Strickland, Cole Tisdale, Jamar Holmes, Christian Newberry, Nick Lancaster, Austin Healm, Damon Stroud and Dustin Chin all had one hit. Marmac improves to 1-1 and next travels to face Seymour Johnson at 10 a.m.
Dixie Youth Majors
Wayne County Falcons 18, Seymour Johnson Yankees 1 -- K.J. Reavers pounded out three hits for the Falcons. Teammates Brett Bartlett, Steven Jessee and Jared Rozzi each supplied two hits. Wayne County (10-1 overall) remained in first place in the league standings.
Dixie Youth Minors
Wayne County Falcons 13, Boys Club Blue 2 -- Falcon pitchers J.C. Toler and Jeffrey Mooring combined for a one-hitter and 12 strikeouts. Mooring, Jordan Salter and Nick Leggett recorded two hits apiece. Wayne County improved to 10-1 overall.
