Moberg and Freeman pace Mount Olive

MONROE -- Kristin Moberg and Kristen Freeman are both in the top 20 and Mount Olive is sixth out of nine teams after the first round of the Ralph Hargett Women's Golf Invitational Monday at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe. The tournament is hosted by Wingate University.
Moberg, who finished third at last week's St. Andrews Spring Invitational, is tied for 17th out of 43 golfers with a 39-43--82. Freeman is tied for 19th with a 40-44--84.
Kate Somek (46-44--90) and Deborah Woodrum (44-46--90) are tied for 30th.
Mount Olive shot a team score of 346, placing 16 strokes behind fifth-place Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.).
The 36-hole tournament concludes today.
