ECU baseball in top 25

GREENVILLE -- One week after the East Carolina baseball team cracked the top-25 in three of the four major polls, the Pirates find themselves ranked No. 22 by Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball, No. 23 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll and No. 24 by the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll.
The Pirates, who are 15-6 and winners of its last nine games, moved up three spots this week in the Baseball America poll, four spots in the NCBWA poll and jumped five spots in the Collegiate Baseball poll. For the first time this year, ECU finds itself ranked in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll.
No. 22 East Carolina will host in-state foe High Point on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. before starting Conference USA play at Clark-LeClair Stadium this weekend in a three-game series with Memphis.
