NORLINA -- Wayne Christian routed Norlina Christian 55-15 in a Class 1-A Carolina Christian Conference game Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles were led by Hope Wright with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Brooke Norris and Shelle Anderson both added nine points and six rebounds for WCS.
Norris also led the defensive effort with a team high 12 steals.
The Wayne Christian will next travel to Wilson and face conference opponent Community Christian on Tuesday. The Eagles are now 4-5 overall and 2-3 in CCC conference play.
Faith Christian
splits contests
Alyssa Hill had a monster game on Friday night, leading Faith Christian to a 54-30 victory over Liberty Christian.
Hill scored 19 points, pulled down 21 rebounds and added eight assists for the Conquerors. Lindsey Godwin also had a strong game scoring 14 points with eight rebounds and four assists.
On Thursday Faith Christian fell to Trinity Christian in Greenville, 37-33.
Godwin paced the Conquerors with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Faith Christian (5-6, 3-3) will next play host to Berean Baptist of Fayetteville on Tuesday.

endures CCC1-A loss
NORLINA -- Wayne Christian dropped a close contest to Norlina Christian on Saturday evening, 70-68, in Carolina 1-A Christian Conference play.
Eric Williams and T.A. Brannan both had double-doubles in the loss. Williams tallied 25 points and 15 rebounds while Brannan added 16 and 10.
Shea Gleasman added 12 points for the Eagles and Adam Brannan scored nine points to go with five rebounds and four assists.
The loss drops Wayne Christian to 6-7 (3-4) and will next travel to Community Christian on Tuesday.

Faith Christian
goes 1-1
Faith Christian knocked off Liberty Christian 24-20 on Friday.
Madison Caudle and Christina Powell both scored six points to lead the Conquerors.
On Thursday, Faith Christian dropped to Trinity Christian 19-15.
Katie Stevens led Faith with four points
Faith Christian, now 4-3, next faces Berean Baptist of Fayetteville on Tuesday.
