MONROE -- Faith Christian picked up two victories to capture the Tabernacle Invitational championship this past weekend.
On Friday night, the Conquerors knocked off Tabernacle 60-34.
T.J. Sasser scored 16 points while Aaron Sladick added 11.
On Saturday, Faith Christian clinched the title with a victory over Kerwin Baptist, 81-66.
Sladick poured in 25 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Sasser added 16 points and Taylor Stocks put in 14 points, pulled down eight rebounds and dished out nine assists.
Stocks and Sladick were named to the all-tournament team with Sladick also being named the tournament MVP.
The Conquerors (10-1) return to action on Tuesday when they host Mt. Calvary-Hookerton.

wins big vs. Trinity
RALEIGH -- Wayne Christian picked up a 37-19 road win over Trinity of Raleigh on Friday night.
Shea Gleasman scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles. Nick Woods added seven points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.
Wayne Christian, now 6-5 (3-2), next faces Cresset Christian on Tuesday.

Faith Christian finishes third
MONROE -- Faith Christian finished 1-1 this past weekend after falling to Tabernacle Christian 59-18 in the first round of the Tabernacle Invitation on Friday and then beating Kerwin Baptist 49-29 on Saturday.
Lindsey Godwin led the Conquerors with 12 points on Friday and scored a team-high 14 on Saturday to pick up all-tournament team honors.
The victory moves Faith Christian to 3-5, which next faces Mt. Calvary-Hookerton on Tuesday.
