Saturday -- Aycock 13, Tri-County East 0 -- Winning pitcher was Jay Rose, who combined with Brandon Price on a no-hitter through six innings. Jackson Massey 2-for-5 with a double, while Christopher King got a hit and Brandon Edgerton doubled and drove in three runs.
Sunday -- Rocky Mount 5, Aycock 4 -- Aycock fought back to tie the game at 4-4 before Rocky Mount scored a late run to win. Thomas Pilkington was the starter and loser, fighting back from a tough first inning. Bradley Taylor was 2-for-3 for Aycock, while Pilkington had an RBI double. Aycock (6-2, 3-2) plays Thursday at Snow Hill.
Snow Hill 6, Ahoskie 5 -- Hunter Chase was 2-for-4 with a double and Spencer Albritton had a two-run double for Snow Hill (5-4, 2-1). Drew Sowers won in relief of starter Richie Turner. Snow Hill plays at home Wednesday against Tri-County.
Babe Ruth 16-19s
Pine Level 2, Aycock 1 -- Aycock's Paul Price had two hits, one a double, while Justin Allen doubled and picked up two hits, Aycock plays Princeton tonight in Pikeville.
Babe Ruth 14-15s
Spring Creek 13, Southern Wayne 0 -- Spring Creek's Anthony Brogden pitched a two-hitter, striking out four and walking three in five innings. Alex Casey led Spring Creek, going 2-for-4. Spring Creek, with a 5-4 record, will host Mar Mac on Tuesday at Spring Creek High School.
