JV baseball -- CBA's Sasser strikes out 12

MOREHEAD CITY -- Charles B. Aycock's Grant Sasser struck out 12 of the 19 batters he faced in six innings of shut-out work as the Golden Falcons defeated West Carteret 12-2 on the road.
With the win, Aycock improved to 19-1 overall and 10-1 in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference.
Cameron Boswell had two hits including a home run, while Jackson Massey was 2-3 with a double. Garrett Davis also homered for Aycock, who hosts South Central today at 5 p.m.
Sasser faced one over the minimum, yielding only one hit and no walks.
