Softball -- Meadows throws three-hit shutout

Chandra Meadows threw a three-hit shutout as Rosewood stopped Spring Creek 3-0 in Carolina 1-A Conference action.
Meadows fanned seven Gators and walked three in a complete-game effort for the Eagles, who are 4-5 in the conference.
Jennifer Boren provided two RBI. Courtney Mills added an RBI, while Meadows contributed a hit in three plate appearances.
Lorenda Brogden suffered the pitching loss for Spring Creek.
Rosewood (6-9) faces No. 1-ranked North Johnston at home next Tuesday. Spring Creek (2-17, 2-7) continues league play at home Friday against Farmville Central.
