Track -- Rams slip past South Lenoir

SNOW HILL -- Greene Central slipped past South Lenoir and dominated Tarboro in an Eastern Plains 2-A Conference girls track meet Tuesday at the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex.
Teketia May and Shontay Dodd each emerged victorious for the Rams, who slipped past the Blue Devils 79-74. The Vikings finished a distant third with 16 points.
May claimed the triple jump (31 feet, 7 inches) and long jump (15-2). Dodd blitzed the competition in the 100 with a time of 12.48 seconds, and ran the 200 in 26.3 seconds.
Kari Ham captured the 1,600 and 3,200 runs for South Lenoir.
Greene Central (10-0) is the guest of North Pitt on Thursday.
