JV softball -- CBA survives on road

PINETOPS -- Charles B. Aycock squeezed out a 5-4, eight-inning victory Thursday afternoon at SouthWest Edgecombe.
Morgan Davis paced the unbeaten Golden Falcons with two hits, including a triple. Brittany King, Julia Lancaster, Leiren Tillman, Heather Farmer and Lacie Barrett each had hits in the non-conference game.
Kylie Hill emerged the winning pitcher, striking out six.
C.B. Aycock (8-0) travels to Wilson Hunt next Monday.
