JV softball -- CBA knocks off rival EW

Rusti Talton threw a complete-game one-hitter and notched 15 strikeouts as C.B. Aycock shut out county rival Eastern Wayne 15-0 in an Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference game Wednesday.
Talton and Brittany King paced the Golden Falcons' offense with four hits apiece. Julia Lancaster batted 3-for-5. Morgan Davis and Shelly Lancaster each provided two hits.
Kelly Elliott had the Warriors' lone hit.
C.B. Aycock (7-0, 5-0) is the guest of SouthWest Edgecombe this afternoon.
