PINETOPS -- SouthWest Edgecombe benefited from 14 defensive errors and handed Greene Central a 15-5 loss, its first in Eastern Plains 2-A Conference play this season.
Thirteen of the Cougars' runs were unearned.
Will McLawhorn led the Rams with one hit and two RBI.
Josh Elmore lasted just two innings and suffered the pitching loss.
Greene Central (7-7, 2-1 EPC) is off until April 20 when it continues conference play at Tarboro. Game time is 4:30 p.m. on the Municipal Stadium diamond.
