LAGRANGE -- North Lenoir handed Greene Central its second consecutive loss, 3-1, in Eastern Plains 2-A Conference action Tuesday evening.
Jacob Alphin doubled in a 2-for-3 effort for the Hawks.
Hunter Chase led Greene Central with two hits.
The Rams scored their only run in the fifth inning. Chase singled and moved into scoring position on Travis Rouse's sacrifice bunt. Joseph Wade plated Chase with his only hit of the night.
Rouse suffered the pitching loss.
Marvin Buck claimed the mound win for North Lenoir.
Greene Central (4-7, 0-2 EPC) plays host to SouthWest Edgecombe this evening.
