Track -- CBA gains pair of wins

PIKEVILLE -- Chris Hubbard and Jamorris Dickerson each won a pair of events as Charles B. Aycock edged South Central 81-75 in an Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference meet contested at the Hardy Talton Stadium track.
Goldsboro finished third with 24 points.

Hubbard swept the hurdles with a time of 17.4 seconds in the 110 and 44.4 in the 300. Dickerson excelled in the field with a mark of 5 feet, 6 inches in the high jump and 38-1 in the triple jump.
Teammates Carson Sasser and Michael Scott took the 800 and 3,200 runs, respectively.
Rafael McNair (discus) and Kevin Ingram (200) picked up individual wins for the Cougars.
C.B. Aycock's girls captured first place in 13 events, including all four relays, in a 116-30 rout against South Central. County rival Goldsboro ended up third with 17.
Danielle Street (shot put), Keyatta Pettiford (high jump), Javonne Holland (long jump), Cassandra Worrell (triple jump), Williams (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), Brandy Hardison (800) and Liza Davis (3,200) each triumphed on a cool, breezy afternoon.
April Reid emerged the lone individual winner for the Cougars with a throw of 94-1 in the discus.
