Baseball -- Kinston rolls past Goldsboro

KINSTON -- Goldsboro's Clemente Battle got the lone hit for the Cougars in a 27-0 loss at the Vikings' field on Tuesday.
Kinston's Ben Lanier had five hits, including a home run and a double. Reggie Dixon, Richard Nobles and Eric Jordan had three hits each.
Goldsboro travels to Community Christian in Wilson on Thursday at 4 p.m. in non-conference action, and concludes the week with a home game Friday against Southern Wayne.
