Panthers defeat county rival Princeton

KENLY -- North Johnston erupted for 17 runs in its first three innings and rolled past Princeton 17-1 in Class 1-A Carolina Conference action on Friday.
The Panthers improved to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play heading into Tuesday's game with Rosewood at 7 p.m.
Brandy Edwards paced five North Johnston hitters with multi-hit games. Amanda Pope, Hannah Ellis, Candace Evans and Robin Creech all had two hits each.
Evans picked up the win on the mound.
Princeton's Nicole Hargis tripled and scored on a groundout for the Bulldogs' only run.
Princeton travels to Holly Ridge Dixon on Tuesday.
