Faith Christian conquers Tabernacle

Faith Christian School won its third straight game after taking a doubleheader from visiting Tabernacle Christian of Monroe Friday.
Blake Cason pitched a one-hit, complete game shutout in an 8-0 victory for the opening game, striking out 11. T.J. Sasser and Stephen Sloan combined on a no-hitter in the second game as Faith topped Tabernacle 10-0. Sasser struck out five batters and Sloan fanned three.
Faith belted out 21 hits in the two games. Michael Cora was 4-for-6 on the day, while Bobby Floars was 5-for-6 with a home run and Micah Davis was 3-for-5.
Faith (3-3, 2-2) will take on Falls Road out of town Monday, then come back to Goldsboro to meet Mount Calvary on Tuesday.
