Tennis -- Spring Creek levels Ayden-Grifton

LITTLEFIELD -- Spring Creek swept the singles matches and rolled up an 8-1 tennis victory against Ayden-Grifton in Carolina/Eastern Plains 1-A/2-A Conference action Thursday.
Cliff Wilson, Grey Wilson, Matt Leggett, Ricky Galloway, Will Daniels, Daniel Watson and Justin Smith each notched a straight-set win for the Gators.
The lone Charger win came in the No. 3 doubles where Eric Dendy-Matt Allen defeated Brandon Strickland-Frederick Ellis 9-8 (1).
Spring Creek (3-0, 2-0 C/EPC) faces North Lenoir next Tuesday afternoon at the Snow Hill Tennis Complex.
Ayden-Grifton (2-2) entertains Bear Grass next Monday.
