Eastern Wayne's Chris Campbell placed first in the high jump and triple jump and claimed third in the 100 high hurdle as the Warriors' boys track team fell 95-46 to Rocky Mount at home on Tuesday.
Campbell won the high jump with a leap of 5.8, while his 37.9 claimed the triple jump.
The Warriors also got a first place in the pole vault (9.6) from Brian Foster
Will Collins (800 meter), Matthew Interrante (1600 meter) and Tyler Sasser (pole vault) took second-place finishes.
Eastern Wayne's track teams host Greenville Rose and New Bern today.
Ram squads
remain perfect
SNOW HILL -- Both Greene Central track teams ran their overall marks to 3-0 on the season as they each claimed wins in a three-team meet at the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex on Monday.
The Greene Central boys claimed 70 team points, while Farmville Central (53) and Spring Creek (51) rounded out the team scoring.
The Ram girls posted 98 points, while Farmville Central had 34 and Spring Creek posted 31.
Greene Central's Tyvonne Johnson led the way for the Ram boys with four first-place individual finishes. Johnson claimed first in the long jump (21.8), 110 hurdles (15.66), 100 meter (10.93) and 300 hurdles (46.39).
Spring Creek's McKenzie Jones took first in the 400 meter (54.16) and the 200 meter (23.07).
Deandra Tyson and Teketia May paced the Greene Central girls as Tyson finished first in the long jump and 800 meter, while May took first in the triple jump and second in the 400 meter.
Greene Central's boys will take on Charles B. Aycock today, while the Ram girls will take on Spring Creek March 17 at home.
