CLINTON -- The balance continues.
One night removed from having five players with at least nine points against North Johnston, Spring Creek put four players in double figures in a 72-68 road win at Union High on Wednesday.
The Gators (11-5) have lost just one game against Class 1-A opposition. The Spartans came into the game ranked 10th in the latest 1-A ihigh.com Coaches and Media poll.
"I approach them just like conference games. I love playing good teams when there is not as much pressure, but I don't want us to get used to playing without intensity," Spring Creek coach Sonny Kilpatrick said. "I felt like it was an important game for us to play to show we could beat a good team away from home."
Josh Bishop and Grey Wilson scored 19 points each with Bishop drilling five three pointers and Wilson knocking down two.
Bishop also had six rebounds, five assists and five steals from the point guard spot.
Shane Stevenson dropped in 15 points as Brian Armstrong had 10 points and seven rebounds. Michael Broadie and Mychael King had five rebounds each.
"We are back to where we are supposed to be and that's playing good team ball," Kilpatrick said. "I'm hoping we are back at the right time to make a nice conference run."
The Spartans had three in double figures led by Zach Honeycutt with 21 points.
