Lois MooringAge: 58 Residence: Fremont Occupation: Register of Deeds Q: How do you plan to make or continue to make the Wayne County Register of Deeds office more customer friendly and efficient? A: Customer service has improved since I was elected to this office. I encourage my staff to take time to listen to what customers are saying to they fully understand their needs. We also take time to tell people how to use our Web site so they may do research from their home or office. The efficiency of the office also has improved. I believe in cross training so my staff can fill in for each other and keep work caught up and reduce turn-around time. Q: Why are you the best candidate for this position? A: I have been the Wayne County Register of Deeds since December 2004 and am familiar with the laws that govern procedures done in this office. I like this job and wish to continue. My entire working career has involved record keeping and legal matters. I have a vested interest in this county.� |
