Q: What specific disagreements do you have with the job Andy Anderson has done and what specifically will you do differently?

A: Mr. Anderson does not seem to want the northern part of the county to grow.

Q: Do you support the sales tax referendum?

A: No No No.

Q: What would you like to see included in a future bond referendum?

A: We need a new jail but not over the courthouse.

Q: Would you be willing to raise property taxes? What about after reval?

A: No No No No. I see no need to raise taxes.

Q: Should the commissioners encourage the school board to look at redistricting/catchment area policies?

A: This sounds expensive.

Q: Do the commissioners need to be more involved in classroom education if the school board is going to keep asking for money?

A: Classrooms do not educate children, quality teachers do.

Q: Should the commission keep such a large fund balance?

A: No. If we have excess funds we need to spend it before we raise taxes.

Q: What role should the county play in providing water?

A: Water is important but we need sewer to develop and grow.

Q: Should the county be in the business of building shell buildings and providing economic incentives?

A: No. When I was young the city and county gave tax incentives. My two aunts went to work. The incentives went away and then the work went away.
