Peggy Minshew Keech, 78, Kenly, passed away Sept. 9, 2018.
She was a member of Hickory Cross Gospel Center Church of Kenly, N.C.
Peggy is survived by her loving son, Roger Evans and wife, Liliana Evans, of LaGrange; brother, Rev. Van Minshew and Catherine, of Gainsville Fla., brother, Othal Minshew, of Four Oaks, sister, Linda Sue Toler and H.C., of Kenly; granddaughter, Sommer Barwick and Kenny Fields, Stephanie Evans; great-granddaughters, Mya Evans and Samantha Fields; great-grandsons, Nathan Barwick and Jayden Rodrigo; a life time friend, Carl Franklin Collier and Chris Evans; a special friend, Rev. Harold Medlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Keech; her loving son, Danny Evans; her father, Rev. Hileryy Minshew and mother, Sally Whaley Minshew; brothers, Rev. Earl Minshew, Ollie Minshew, and Steve Minshew; sisters, Viva Parks, Velva Brock and Ruth Crider.
Peggy was employed as a waitress at The Kountry Kitchen in Wilson, for 28 years. She loved her employers and her many faithful customers who stood by her. God gave her them and she was grateful for them all. Praise God for them. He used them to help her make a living to raise her two sons. She was a very kind and loving mother and a special person that touched many people’s lives.
Funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service chapel, with burial to follow in Kenly Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
