David John Phillips, 62, Clayton, passed away suddenly Sunday, March 6, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Cambridge, England.
David worked as a musician, and was an avid fisherman.
A service celebrating David's life will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 5 p.m. at Family of Faith Community Church, with pastor John Earnest officiating.
David is survived by his children, Kerri Ann Shipp and husband, Chris, Ashley Renee Phillips, Michael Sean Spaxman and Heather Kristin Phillips; his mother, Betty Doreen Phillips; father, John Spaxman and wife, Veronica; and grandchildren, Taylor Shipp, Alyssa Shipp, Kristen Shipp, Unique Marshall, Destiny Marshall, Jadyn Marshall and Kay Ann.
He is also survived by his siblings, Joyce Ann Gregory and Terri, Carol Jacqueline Strothman, Michael John Phillips and wife, Tina, Marjorie Marie Phillips and husband, Jimmy, Robert Paul (Bobby) Phillips and wife, Traci, Sara Louise Phillips and Lynda Spaxman.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ponder Phillips, and brothers, Ralph James Phillips, Andrew Spaxman and Stephen Spaxman.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in David's memory to Seymour Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
