Mr. Burden Best, 603 S. Oleander Ave., went to be with his Lord and savior Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at Atkinson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 634 S. Oak Forest Road, Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery and Crematory, 3888 W. U.S. 70, Princeton.
A public visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Best is survived by his wife, mother Nannie Jones Best of the home; one daughter, Stephanie Edwards; and two sons, Monte Jones and Ronnie Jones both of Goldsboro.
The family requests that instead of floral arrangements, please make contributions to WAGES Senior Companion Program on Royall Avenue.
The family will assemble at 603 S. Oleander Ave., Monday at 10 a.m. in preparation for the processional.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is handling the service.
