ISAAC LEE "TICK" TAYLOR

Mr. Isaac Lee Taylor, 78, formerly of Wayne County, and lovingly known by his family and friends as "Tick," 3000 N. Ridge Road, Ellicott City, Md., departed his earthly life Friday, June 12, 2015, at Ellicott City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ellicott City, Md.
"Tick" was born in Wayne County Feb. 15, 1937, to the living Mrs. Nettie Victoria Strickland Taylor and the late Mr. Leander Taylor.
He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County.
During his working years, Tick was employed with TPE Enterprise Trucking Co., where he served as a dependable truck driver for many years.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 108 S. Baker St., Eureka, N.C. Evangelist Johnnie Coley will be eulogist, and pastor Fred Presley will officiate.
Interment will follow in Turner Swamp Church Cemetery, 541 Turner Swamp Road, Eureka, N.C.
Mr. Taylor leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his wife, Christine Taylor; his sons, Melvin Taylor and wife, Vickie, Julius Taylor and Draper Taylor and wife, Nursel; his stepdaughter, Shanell Thomas; his two sisters, Mirrian Taylor Mason and husband, deacon Jesse Mason, and Evonne Yelverton; his four grandchildren; his two stepgrandchildren; his brother-in-law; his sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Saturday, June 20, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 9:30 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.
Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Friday, June 19, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
