Stephen Davis Price, 73, Seven Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Steve was born in Wayne County Oct. 13, 1941, to the late Bruce and Mary Barnes Price.
He lived a life of dedication to his family and friends and to his community.
Steve served his community many ways while an insurance agent with State Farm for 40 years.
He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends while hunting and going to the beach.
Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army.
A service celebrating Steve's life will be held by the graveside Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs, with the Rev. Mary Kay Best and the Rev. Rick Rigney officiating.
The family will greet friends Friday evening at the home and following the service Saturday at the cemetery.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Becky A. Price; children, Scott Price and wife, Sharon, of Seven Springs, Joy Jacobs and husband, Brian, of Goldsboro and Allen Horton and wife, Shannon, of Pikeville; and grandchildren, Davis Price, Will Horton and Avery Horton.
He is also survived by his sister, Bruce Ann Smith and husband, Eugene, of Seven Springs; brother, Tim Price and wife, Jackie, of Seven Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Shepherd Price.
