MAYNARD FRANKLYN WHITE
June 23, 1933-May 15, 2015
Maynard Franklyn White, 81, died Friday at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Born in Danbury, Conn., he was the son of the late Harold C. and Alice P. White, and was the husband of Lois S. White of the home.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen White.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in the Mausoleum Chapel, with the family visiting friends one hour prior to the service.
Having retired as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, Maynard was a previous member of the NCO club on base, and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Maynard is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Carolyn White of Goldsboro; a daughter, Carol Ann Kennedy of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Heather White, Keith White and Allison Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Taylor, Alayna White and Harper White; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth, Joyce and Phillis.
