Mr. Bobby Lewis, 74, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Cool Breeze," Goldsboro, N.C., departed his earthly life Friday, April 24, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, N.C.

"Cool Breeze" was born in Wayne County Sept. 6, 1940, to the late Mr. Jacob Lewis and Mrs. Edith Virginia "Polly" Coley Lewis.

He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County.

During his working years, Bobby was employed with United Parcel Service, where he served as a feeder driver for 27 years.

Mr. Lewis was predeceased by his first wife, Mrs. Dorothy White Lewis, and his son, Mr. Bobby Lewis Jr.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ, 118 Booker St., Pikeville, N.C. Apostle Kenneth Vaughn will officiate. Interment will follow in Chris Coley Family Cemetery, 2660 Pikeville-Princeton Road in Pikeville, N.C.

A public viewing will be held Friday, May 1, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m.

Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his wife of the home, Mrs. Sallie Marie Jacobs Lewis; his children, Pamela Hargrove and husband, Billie D., of Monmouth, N.J., Terri Glover and Travis Glover of Hillside, N.J., Karen Lewis and Clent Harper of Hillside, N.J., Byron Sean Lewis, Celeste Hilliard of Goldsboro, N.C., and Reco Rowe and wife, Carlena, of Renton, Wash.; his sisters, Irene Cox of Goldsboro, N.C., and Eva Lewis of Pikeville, N.C.; his 17 grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Saturday, May 2, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 9:50 a.m. at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Friday, May 1, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
