THOMAS 'BUCK' DUNN

Mr. Thomas "Buck" Dunn, 77, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Buck," 101 Dupoint Circle, Goldsboro, N.C., departed his earthly life Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.

"Buck" was born in Wake County, N.C., Jan. 9, 1938, to the late Mrs. Bessie Holden Dunn and Mr. Thomas "Tot" Dunn Sr.

He received his education in the public school system of Wake County.

More than 58 years ago, Mr. "Buck" met, dated and married the love of his life, Mrs. Julia Barnes Dunn, and to that union, nine children were born.

During his working years, Buck was employed with W.P. Rose Co., where he served as a truck driver and a foreman.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C. The Rev. Samuel Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery South, 2925 U.S. 117 South, Dudley, N.C.

Also, a public viewing will be held Friday, April 17, 2015, from 9 to 10:50 a.m. in Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C.

Mr. Buck leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his wife, Mrs. Julia Dunn; his son, Thomas "Pedro" Dunn and wife, Barbara, of Goldsboro, N.C.; his three daughters, Lisa Flowers and husband, Robert, of Jesup, Ga., and Juliet Broadie and Deanna Goal and husband, Leroy, all of Fayetteville, N.C.; his 11 grandchildren; his 29 great-grandchildren; his four great-great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Holden-Smith-Bean; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friday, April 17, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 9:50 a.m. at the Dunns' residence, 101 Dupont Circle, Goldsboro, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
