Mr. Aldine Jones Jr., 59, lovingly known by his family and friends as "A.J.," 126 Potts Road, Dudley, N.C., departed his earthly life Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC..
Aldine was born in Wayne County Sept. 2, 1955. He was born to the living Mrs. Christine Royall Jones and the late Mr. Aldine Jones Sr.
He received his education in the public school system of Duplin County.
"A.J." was employed with Mt. Olive Pickle Co. for more than 40 years.
He was a member of Best Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs, N.C.
His brother, O'Neal Jones, preceded "A.J." in death.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Saint Mark Church of Christ, 700 W. Ash St. in Goldsboro, N.C. Elder Clifton Jones Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery South, 2925 U.S. 117 South, Dudley, N.C.
Also, a public viewing will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, from 2 to 7 p.m. in Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Brother Jones leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his wife, Mrs. Kay Jones of the home; his children, Aldonna Jones of Dudley, N.C., Cassandra Jones of Greensboro, N.C., and Kanesha Jones of the home; his granddaughter, Amiyah Ford of Dudley, N.C.; his mother, Mrs. Christine Royall Jones of Mount Olive, N.C.; seven brothers, Thurman Jones, Eddie Jones and Kenneth Jones all of Mount Olive, N.C., Harold Jones and Herman Jones both of Dudley, N.C., Gary Jones, of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Jimmy Carter of Goldsboro, N.C.; six sisters, Pearlie Mae Ammons, Patricia Jones, Renee Jones and Doris Jones all of Mount Olive, N.C., Edna Cromartie of Seven Springs, N.C., and Emma Carter of LaGrange, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 9:50 a.m. at the residence of Mrs. Kay Jones, 126 Potts Road, Dudley, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.
Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
