Mr. Terry Devonne Coley, 57, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Terry," 215-B S. Baker St., Eureka, N.C., departed his earthly life Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Fayetteville Veteran Medical Center, Fayetteville, N.C.
Terry was born in Wayne County Sept. 13, 1957. He was born to the living Mrs. Eunice Taylor Smith and the late Mr. Charles F. Coley.
He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County.
Terry was a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School (the class of 1975).
After graduation, he served his county in the United States Air Force. After his military tours of duty, Terry received his honorable discharge.
Back to civilian life, brother Coley worked as an insurance agent with an insurance company for a number of years.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 108 S. Baker St., Eureka, N.C. Pastor Leonard Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow in Turner Swamp Church Cemetery, 541 Turner Swamp Road, Eureka, N.C.
Also, a public viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, from 2 to 7 p.m. in Apostle D. L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Brother Coley leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his mother, Mrs. Eunice Taylor Smith of the home; his sister, Mrs. Brenda Taylor Wright (Larry); his brother, evangelist Johnnie Coley (Sabrina); his niece, Phylicia Coley; his nephew, Johnnie Coley II; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, the family members and friends will assemble an hour prior at 11:50 a.m. at the residence of Mrs. Eunice Smith, 215-B S. Baker St., Eureka, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.
Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
