Mrs. Margaret Jarvis Potts, 95, a longtime resident of Rhodes Church community near Mount Olive, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, Dec. 15, 2014, while being cared for at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery, Dudley, N.C., with Anne Bartlett and Carroll Overman presiding.
Mrs. Potts, daughter of the late James Thomas Jarvis and Nancy Rebecca Tolbert Jarvis, widow of James Royall Potts and mother of the late Jimmie Lynn Potts, is survived by two dear lady friends and adopted sisters, Mattie Grady and Cleo Grady both of Mount Olive and both of whose husbands were cousins to the late Mr. Potts.
She is also survived by several beloved "nieces and nephews," including Linda and Spencer Langston, Susan and Freddie Lewis and Carroll and Diana Grady all of Mount Olive, and Renee and Lane Sutton of Dudley, along with their families.
