Roland Smith, 79, 2200 Eagle Nesting Lane, formerly of Duplin County, died Thursday at Golden Living Center.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late James Herman Houston and Mary Smith Houston, and husband of Annette Frederick Smith.
Two children survive.
Visitation will be an hour prior to funeral.
