John Earl "Booger" Buckrham, 73, 1504 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, departed this life Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 27, 1940, to James Mewborn and Emma Buckrham in Wayne County.
His life will be celebrated Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.
Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Dorothy Bell Buckrham of the home; his children, Darren Buckrham (Alice), Roderick Buckrham of Goldsboro and Morris Bell (Lillian) of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 7:30 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
