BRENDA FAYE WILLIAMSON

Brenda Faye Williamson, 69, passed away Sunday evening at home after several years battling multiple myeloma (cancer of plasma cells).
She was the daughter of the late Willard C. and Faye Anderson Brakeall.
She served in the Girl Scouts for 15 years, was a past director of the American Cancer Society of Wayne County and the past vice-president of the Goldsboro Women's Bowling Association.
Funeral service will be held Friday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, John F. Williamson Jr.; five children, Ken Williamson, Vicky W. Dantonio, Tina W. Woodard, Phil Williamson and Natalie Williamson; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
