LILLIAN JACKSON SNYPES

Lillian Jackson Snypes, 88, passed away Thursday evening at the Brian Center of Goldsboro.
Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Columbus and Addie Barnette Jackson and wife of the late William Thomas "Tommy" Snypes. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she had been very active as a deacon and superintendent of the nursery. She was formerly the office manager for her husband at Snypes Distributers.
A service to celebrate Lillian's life will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Willowdale Cemetery.
The family received friends Saturday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
She is survived by her three sons, William Thomas Jr., "Bill" and wife, Suzanne, of Houston, Texas; James Robert "Jim" and wife, Candace, of Greensboro; and Luther Jackson "Jack" and wife, Sydney, of Charlotte; a brother, Garland Jackson and wife, Margaret; and a sister, Merle Odom and husband, Cecil.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her nieces, Toni Cardwell and Judy Taylor, for the loving care they provided their mother.
