VANICO DICOLE PERKINS

Vanico Dicole Perkins, 37, was born to Katherine and Kary Perkins Oct. 25, 1974.

Even as a small child, he was known to everyone as Koko.

Vanico attended Wayne County Public Schools, and continued his education in culinary arts by completing with a diploma from the program.

Vanico enjoyed everyday life. He spent his time enjoying his family and friends, playing cards and simply doing things his own way.

He was preceded in death by all his grandparents; his parents, Kary and Katherine Perkins; and an aunt, Gloria Perkins.

Vanico leaves to cherish his loving memories a daughter, Rakyia Wooten of Dudley; four brothers, Kary (Rochelle) Perkins of Charlotte, Kwan (LaShaundon) Perkins of Goldsboro and Carl Perkins and Carlton Perkins both of the home; a special uncle and father, Carl Perkins of the home; a special companion, Brandy Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of whom he will greatly be missed by.

Any lovegrams, cards and condolences can be sent to the funeral home.

Family will receive friends at 210 S. Hillcrest Drive, Goldsboro.

The family will gather for the funeral procession at 218 Brewington Drive, Dudley.

A visitation will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, 401 N. William St., Goldsboro.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 215 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley.

Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Perkins' delicate temple, along with his adored family, will be escorted by E.M. Matthews' angelic white fleet to First Congregational/Wynn Cemetery for interment rites.

Mr. Perkins and the Perkins family are in the hallmark of care at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
