FREMONT -- Mary Berniece Brock Pender, 66, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Pender was born in Johnston County April 3, 1944, to the late Elijah Milton Brock and Esther Gray Woodard Brock.
She was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Sauls and the Rev. Marion Bass officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Eureka Cemetery.
Mrs. Pender is survived by her husband, Charles Pender; her sons, Charles Elbert Pender Jr. and fiancée, Deanne Walston, of Elm City, James Wade Pender and wife, Chris, of Ayden and Patrick Dean Pender and special friend, Rhonda Booth, of Fremont; her sister, Eleanor Gray Vaughn of Goldsboro; her brother, Freddie Eugene Brock of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Sandra Lynn Pender, Cristina Elizabeth Pender and Kimber Anne Pender; and her great-grandchild, Brianna Lynn Casey.
The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
