MOUNT OLIVE -- Donald Anthony "Tony" Temple, 58, died Jan. 1, 2011, at Mount Olive Care and Rehab Center.
Tony was born in Johnston County to the late Freddie A. Temple and Lula Hamilton Temple.
Tony was disabled since a construction accident in 1985.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, N.C., with the Rev. Melton Tyson and the Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
The Temple family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m.
He is survived by brothers, Jerry Dean Temple (Susan) of Zebulon and Dennis Ray Temple (Sandra) of Smithfield, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lee Temple; a sister, Jean T. Twiggs; and brothers, William "Bill" Temple and Joseph Bobby Temple.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in memory of Tony Temple, c/o Wakefield Central Baptist Church Missions Fund, 308 Proctor St., Zebulon, N.C., 27597.
